Running Man Episode 676 Review
Guests: Seungkwang, DK, and Hoshi of Seventeen. Briefly joined by fitness youtuber Caro as well as a masseuse and acupuncturist.
My Entertainment Score: 8 out of 10 laughs
Although this looked overall pretty exhausting for the members, I enjoyed it. Other than the survey debate game, I liked everything, in fact. I’m looking forward to the day that type of game goes out of favor.
What Happened:
Theme: Minority’s Paradise Race
Opening/Guest Introductions (start of episode- 8:18)
Each person is asked to choose to press or not press a giant red button on the way into the opening area.
Race Explanation (8:18- 11:20)
All day long, everything will be decided by the big red button. A wonderful, relaxing area inside is set aside for the people who make the minority decision on pressing the button. (So if 7 press and 3 do not, the 3 get the good area. If 1 presses and 9 do not, the 1 will get the good area). Anyone in the majority will have to go to the outdoor area for a punishing 20 minutes. A 5-5 split OR a 10-0 split results in EVERYONE going to the bad place.
Games are played by everyone, but only those from paradise will get double coins for winning. At the end of the day, the coins can be used to buy running balls.
The first heaven and hell time starts immediately based on the button pressed in the opening.
First Heaven and Hell Time (11:20- 34:00)
The members in hell get a special workout session led by a famous fitness youtuber named Caro.
The members in paradise get to snack, receive a massage…and face down a fortune reader/acupuncturist who seemed to be in the wrong place.
First Mission: Very Nice Survey (34:00- 53:30)
Members are shown a survey question given to 100 people as well as the five possible responses to the survey. Everyone is given time to discuss (aka debate) the answers *sigh*. Then one member of each team comes forward. Three pillows numbered 1, 2, and 3 determine who gets to guess the answers ACTUALLY chosen by the survey. There is a 30 second battle for the pillows. The member with the 1 pillow gets first choice. The member with the 2 pillow chooses a different answer and the member with 3 chooses yet another answer. Regardless of the order of the choices, anyone who matches with the ACTUAL number 1 choice from the survey gets 5 points. A match to the ACTUAL 2nd choice from the survey gets 3 points and a match to the ACTUAL 3rd choice in the survey gets 1 point. The top 3 members at the end of the game get coins.

Second Heaven and Hell Time: Lunch (53:30- 1:04:22)
The heaven area had a spectacular buffet. The hell area…haha…had lunch boxes. But the utensils were all attached to weightlifting equipment (like dumbbells or grip trainers).
Second Mission: Fighting and Dancing (1:04:22- 1:21:48)
(Mini) soccer was played with a special rule…anyone on the field must dance at all times. Any member caught not dancing 3 times would have to sit out for some minutes, making the team play at a disadvantage. The two members that danced the hardest in each half got extra coins.

Those in heaven this round will be candidates for ultimate winner and the prize. Those in hell will be candidates for the penalty.

Each member starts with 1 penalty ball. They can also exchange 5 coins for an additional penalty ball where any name can be written.
The penalty is “Stairway to Paradise”. Each of the 2 members needed to do 15 flights on a stair stepping machine.

I won’t keep track of the results of each round. I started and it got confusing very quickly.
