Running Man Episode 675 Review

Running Man Episode 675 Review

Guests: Yoon Jonghoon (actor), Um Kijoon (actor), and Lee Joon (actor and singer, formerly of MBLAQ)

My Entertainment Score: 6 out of 10 laughs

I loved the guests this week and the concept was amusing. However, far too much time was given to the “I Won’t Forgive You” game for my liking. It can’t only be me that doesn’t find squabbling and arguments entertaining. At times, it actually adds to my stress. I would rather watch almost any other game, personally.

What Happened:

Theme: Escape the Ten

Opening/Guest Introductions (start of episode- 5:22)

First Mission: Escape the Ten (5:22- 14:26)

The members have 20 minutes. Depending on how quickly they manage the escape, the size of the car to get to the next location will change. Every 5 minutes, the size of the car is reduced. All ten people have to get out of the room to stop the clock. Members that do not fit into the car in the case that a smaller car is needed will have to make their own way to the next location.

Second Mission: Race to the Second Location  (14:26- 29:20)

At the second location, the members need to race inside and grab flags. The order of arrival affects later games.

Race Explanation (29:20- 30:40)

The final mission is going to be escaping the ‘crime’ that was committed throughout the course of the day. Members will gather coins which can be used to purchase hints about their crime. Those that correctly guess their crime will get prizes and those that fail to guess their crime will face punishment.

Additionally, 4 members are randomly chosen to carry out a hidden mission. If the missions are carried out secretly, the mission members will get extra coins. If another member is able to guess who did a mission and what the mission is, that member will get a hint about his or her crime.

Third Mission: I Won’t Forgive You (30:40- 49:03)

*Sighs* This is a variation on the balance-discussion games that have been used often of late. The members are given situations. Then they discuss who is the worst, essentially, in the situations. Members that match the staff’s vote on the worst get a point and the members with the most points at the end get coins.

Lunch/Hidden Missions (49:03- 56:25)

The hidden missions were a bit hilarious. One member needed to chop a whole basket of onions. Another needed to jump rope 300 times. On the easier side, one mission was to do the smoke challenge dance.

Fourth Mission: Pop-Up Karaoke (56:25- 1:10:16) (They called it “Byong Byong Karaoke”)

I LOVED this game. So funny.

The staff essentially created a human Whack-A-Mole. Members split into 2 teams. Three members would be the moles while singing a karaoke song…where the mics were above the hole. One member from the other team would use a toy hammer to bonk the singers when they came out. The score for the team is the score from the karaoke machine MINUS the number of times they collectively were whacked. Each team gets 2 tries to sing.

Teams were:

Kijoon - Seokjin, Jaesuk, Jongkook, Jonghoon

Lee Joon - Haha, Jihyo, Somin, Sechan

Hidden Mission Guessing (1:10:16- 1:18:55)

Final Results (1:18:55- end of episode)

The members split up. Each is shown the 10 crimes that were committed. Hints can be purchased for 5 coins. The hint is a yes or no answer after the member chooses 3 crimes on the board. Members that fail to guess their crime will immediately receive a water bomb.

Preview: A Heaven and Hell Race is coming to separate the members! Seventeen’s Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi join the members to reap rewards…or suffer.

!!!Spoilers!!!
