My Entertainment Score: 7 out 10 laughs
This week, I was amused start to finish. The games weren’t legendary or super inventive, but they were fun and the members were in fine form as far as carrying jokes forward and coming up with gags. All in all, I recommend it.
What Happened:
Theme: Dignity of the Grand Award Race
Opening (start of episode-14:30)
Members Arrive (start of episode- 4:35)
The members arrive at a site with displays that show the biography for both Jaesuk and Jongkook. They are very confused and do their usual banter and teasing. This was a bit funnier than usual.
Race Explanation (4:35- 8:30)
For today’s race, Jaesuk and Jongkook will go head to head for the pride of their grand awards. The rest of the members will be able to choose one team leader before each mission. They are not required to stay with one or the other at any point and they will have no hints about the upcoming mission. The missions have been chosen so that the number of team members will not matter, so they do not need to split evenly between the two captains. For each mission, the members on the winning team, will get points equal to double the number of people on the team. The losing team will get negative points equal to the number of people on their team.
At the end of the race, the punishment will go to the two members with the lowest scores and one person of their choosing. The member in 1st will get a prize and be exempt from being chosen for a punishment.
The captains are asked to sign a not promising not to get upset with the members for their choices and the members were allowed to add specific notes on what the captains could not do that might intimidate or upset the members.
Choosing Starting Captains (8:30- 14:30)
The captains go to separate rooms and the members are allowed to go one at a time into the room of the captain of their choice. I thought about putting this in the spoilers, but it's not super relevant to the outcome.

First Mission (14:30- 34:31)
Explanation (14:30- 19:45)
The first game is called Two Body Hide and Seek. The members will have 3 minutes to hide in the area where the filming is taking place. The two captains will be tied together by a rope while they hunt out the members. The first captain to find all the opposing team’s members will win.
They spend a little time here changing into a team uniform and discussing strategy. It was pretty funny how pessimistic the Jaesuk team was feeling about the game.
Two Body Hide and Seek Game (19:45- 30:14)
Wow. Just wow. It was like watching teenagers hiding versus 3 year olds hiding. I was impressed by both the brilliance and horrible choices of some of the members on this one. Phew.
Results (30:14- 34:31)
One of the grand award winners was less than pleased with his team’s performance. They made him reread his contract not to get upset.
Second Mission (34:31- 55:38)

Explanation (37:39- 39:52)
This game is called “Do As I Say”. One person from each team will come out as the MC. This was meant to be Jongkook or Jaesuk, but as Haha had injured his back, he was given that role for the Jaesuk team. One (other) person from each team will come out and face each other with a bowl of water between them. The MC will call out a body part and the players will have to touch that body part with both hands (think Simon Says), again and again until the MC calls “bowl”. At the call of “bowl” the players will both grab for the bowl. The one that gets it first and dowses the other player will earn a point for their team. This is played in 9 rounds.
Do As I Say Game (39:52- 55:38)
This was a funny game and I think I’m going to try it out as a backyard game over the summer with my kiddos. Easily the funniest part was the final round starting at 49:42. I recommend that round if nothing else.
Lunch (55:38- 1:00:12)
Choosing a Captain (55:38- 58:47)
There were no points awarded for this section. Each person simply had to choose a captain to eat with.

The twist to this was that each captain’s room was served that captain’s favorite meal...only. Jaesuk’s room had ramen, sausage, and kimchi. On the other hand, Jongkook’s had chicken breast, broccoli, almonds, hard-boiled eggs and milk. Guess which room’s members were happier...
Final Mission (1:00:12- end of episode)
Choosing a Captain (1:00:12- 1:05:11)
Before they chose, they had to gather up all the members. Jihyo was asleep after lunch and it created a funny moment where the members carried forward a joke from the second mission.

This means that if Jaesuk wins, each person will get 12 points and they will all be safe from the bottom two. On the other hand, if they lose, they will each lose 6 points and might lose the whole game.
The Uncanny Quiz (1:05:11- 1:17:55)
The members were given a series of logic or riddle quiz questions. For an example that is not used in the show.: draw only one line to make 188 into 200. The answer is to draw a line horizontally along the middle to make 100 on top and 100 on bottom, totally 200. If you like riddles, this is the game for you.
There was a hero in this game that was unexpected, but after thinking about it, it made sense.
Results/Punishment (1:17:55- end of episode)
The two lowest scoring members chose a person to get punishment with them. The punishment was to retrieve 1 flag each from the surrounding area...mostly mudflats. They played rock paper scissors to determine who would go for the simplest flag.
Preview: Catch the Stars with guests Jessi and Wooyoung (of 2pm). Four members will ‘open’ talent agencies and try to recruit the other members/guests to their company. I love the guests and the concept looks like it could get wild, so I’m looking forward to this one.

Jaesuk finds all the members first. Jaesuk’s team all gets 6 points. (Jaesuk, Kwangsoo, Haha) Jongkook’s team all get minus 5 points. (Jongkook, Somin, Jihyo, Seokjin, Sechan)
Do As I Say Game Results
Round 1: Jongkook as MC. Kwangsoo beats Jaesuk. Team Jongkook gets 1 point.
Round 2: Jongkook as MC. Jaesuk beats Kwangsoo. Team Jaesuk gets 1 point.
Round 3: Jaesuk as MC. Somin beats Seokjin (due to what I would call an unfair call by Jaesuk). Team Jaesuk gets 1 point.
Round 4: Jaesuk as MC (he’s a menace). Seokjin beats Somin. Team Jongkook gets 1 point.
Round 5: Haha as MC. Jaesuk beats Sechan. Team Jaesuk gets 1 point.
Round 6: Jongkook as MC. Jihyo rebels. Lol. Somin beats Jihyo. Team Jaesuk gets 1 point.
**Two unshown rounds pass in which Jongkook’s team wins, so that score stands at 4 to 4.**
Round 9: *FINAL ROUND* Seokjin as MC. Jongkook beats Jaesuk. Team Jongkook gets 1 point.

Jongkook and Jihyo choose Somin for the punishment. In rock, paper, scissors, Somin wins and gets to take the easiest flag and go home fastest.
