Running Man Episode 642 Review

The two major games this week were good and I loved watching poor Haha try to find a balance between his professional self and his personal life.
What Happened:
Theme: Winter Sports Festival
Opening (start of episode- 7:17)
The members of M.O.M., the singing group Seokjin is a part of, sing their new song to start off the episode in a mini-concert for the members before the actual guests arrive. This was Seokjin’s wish in an earlier episode.
Guest Introductions (7:17- 23:10)
Note: throughout the episode Haha is adorable about his wife.
Race Explanation (23:10- 23:56)
The members simply have to play the winter sports (modified) games with their teams to the best of their ability. The winning teams will get a benefit in the final game.
Teams:
Pink Team: Kyeonghwan, Jongkook, Somin
Blue Team: SEOGI, Jaesuk, Haha
Yellow Team: Byul, Seokjin, Jihyo, Sechan
Note: There is a playoff with single-person sleigh races and a footrace.
First Mission: Fast and Furious Sleigh (23:56- 37:00)
Two members of each team will use a sleigh (and picks to move it) to go around a flag and back to the starting line. They switch to a second pair and repeat the course. First team to make it back wins. The women on each team must play.
Lunch Mission (37:00- 56:30)
Two restaurants were booked for the show. Each team would pick where they wanted to go. The team that was alone at a restaurant would eat comfortably. Teams that went to the same restaurant would have to play a game in order to get lunch.
The mission rules weren’t clearly shown, but it looked like a mess. There were basketball hoop hats and things flying everywhere.
Second Mission: Ice Soccer (56:30- 1:12:04)
A small soccer field is set up on a frozen lake. The game is played for 5 minutes with a puck (and padding, but not on skates). The teams draw lots to see who gets a pass on the first round. The Pink Team automatically passes to the finals. Yellow and Blue Teams play the first round.
The winning team will have an easier time at the final mission…ice fishing for smelt.
Final Mission: Ice Fishing (1:12:04- end of episode)
As soon as the required number of smelt (a type of fish) are caught (collectively) by a team, all those members are able to go home. I’ll post the numbers required in the spoilers section because it would give away the results of the previous game.
Preview: Butler Race. The members are joined by actors Cha Taehyun and Yoo Yeonseok for a race to find the master of the house and the head butler. In this…unusual…interview process, every question is decided by a Yes or No roulette. Yikes. I’d never get hired if it was based on luck.
