Variety Review Running Man Episode 600

Guests: None

My Entertainment Score: 4 out of 10 laughs

I’m sorry to rank this so low, but the episode just didn’t do it for me. I could have done with a lot less of the Q&A, personally.

What Happened

Theme: Running Man with the Fans

Opening (start of episode- 8:34)

After some banter, they learn how the episode will work. They will be playing for the right to have their name put on a donation the show is making, up to $10,000. The show is split into 2 parts. Each part will have a winner and a loser that will be the candidates for the final winner and loser of the day.

First Mission: Q & A (8:34- 53:55)

30 Questions were chosen (based on their popularity or repetition) from the Running Man social media pages. Those questions were put in balloons. The members simply had to pop a balloon each and then talk through the answers as honestly as possible. If they do well they will earn $7,000 toward the donation.

51:30- Winner and loser chosen. The winner is chosen by a vote among the members about who gave the most honest answers…except they all agreed they had been honest, so they played rock, paper, scissors for the winner. The loser was chosen by a vote of the staff.

Second Mission:Tail Catching Game  (53:55- 1:23:00)

This segment of the show was split into 3 games…though the first wasn’t really a game.

53:55- Seokjin’s Cooking Show- worth $1,000. As they’ve been mentioning for the last several episodes, Seokjin teaches the members how to make his famous oatmeal cookies.

1:05:55-Save the Pins- worth $1,000. Five bowling pins are set up in a row at the end of a mat. A springboard and (very low) high jump bar are set up at the other end. Each member gets a chance to jump over the bar onto the mat, hopefully landing softly enough to keep some of the pins standing. All together, they must save 7 bowling pins in order to earn the donation money–so if two people save all the pins, the game is won.

1:10:15- Ping Pong Candle- worth $1,000. Jaesuk as the representative of Running Man, must put out a candle by serving a ping pong ball precisely. The candle is dead center on the far end of the other side of the court. He can hit the wick or knock over the candle, as long as the flame goes out. The rest of the members participate by determining how many serves he can take. To do that, they must keep a ping pong ball from falling (beach ball at a concert style)-each member must touch it before a person can repeat. Each touch is a chance for Jaesuk.

Final Results (1:23:00- end of episode)

They reveal the total donation amount and the final winner and loser are chosen using a plinko game. The loser’s penalty this week is to hand write a letter to the fans on behalf of the members.

Preview: Next week, the crew is joined by Byeon Wooseok (actor), Joo Woojae (model), and Park Gyeonghye (actress) in what the show called “The Decisive Punch”. I have no idea what the theme is actually, but they are playing games to push eachother into water, so it should be funny!
